Benedetto (Benny) Aloi was born in 1936 in Brooklyn. He was the son of Sebastiano (Buster) Aloi and younger brother of Vincent Aloi who were both major members of the Colombo family for decades. He lived in the Ozone Park section of Queens before relocating to 135 Beech Street in the Floral Park area in the 1960s.
