Nicholas Martello, also known as “Nicky Bulldog” was a soldier in the Genovese Family of Cosa Nostra. He was peripherally involved in a tragic shooting of a young child during a war between the notorious gangsters Dutch Schultz and Vincent “Mad Dog” Coll and was associated with some of the biggest names in the mafia, including “Trigger Mike” Coppola and “Big John” Ormento.
And while he mostly stayed out of the reach of the long arm of the law, Nicky Bulldog couldn’t outrun the long arm of the mob, becoming one of many mobsters during the 1960s, including Tony Bender Strollo, who disappeared and were never seen again!
