Sam Jacobson was a shadowy racketeer who operated in New York City for decades. He was Meyer Lansky’s trusted “man in New York,” overseeing the Jewish Mob’s rackets there for Lansky and the Genovese mob.
Even though he had a notorious reputation in New York’s underworld, Jacobson remained mostly anonymous to both law enforcement and the general public for many years. The same couldn’t be said for his two younger brothers, Danny and Ralph, who took a different underworld road than their older brother, Sam.
