Charles Albero was well known around East Harlem as a dyed-in-the-wool hood very actively engaged in a litany of gritty street rackets including narcotics trafficking. In fact, Charlie Bullets was considered a first among equals among East Harlem’s top drug merchants who started notching arrests when he was only nine years old.
Charlie Bullets operated in the same regime as his brother-in-law of fellow family regime soldier Angelo (Charlie Four Cents) Salerno and was believed to be a ranking member in Caporegime Michael (Trigger Mike) Coppola’s personal crew.
