Based in New Jersey, Andy Lombardino was an inducted soldier and later capo in the old Profaci Crime Family of Brooklyn, New York.
He had the reputation of a strong-arm man and extortionist and was thought to have committed numerous murders at the behest of his underworld superiors.
In addition, he was one of several mobsters from around the country arrested while attending a mafia conclave at the ritzy Hotel Statler in Cleveland, Ohio in 1928.
