Anthony (Tony Long) Ricciardi was a soldier in the Colombo Family associated with Carmine Persico. Anthony (Tony Long) Ricciardi was born in 1916 in Brooklyn. He is aka “Kid Chocolate.” By the 1960s, he lived at 340 Howard Avenue in Woodmere, Long Island. He was reputed to be a “soldier” in the Colombo Family, active in the Red Hook, Prospect Park, and Bay Ridge sections of Brooklyn, which were Colombo strongholds. Anthony (Tony Long) Ricciardi Ricciardi's activities included extortion, bookmaking, and policy. He operated in the “Persico faction” of the Family and ran numbers. His associates included Carmine Persico, Thomas Spero, and Salvatore (Sonny) Pepitone. He owned the Air, Ship, and Shore Travel Agency in Cedarhurst in Nassau County where he arranged gambling “junkets” to Las Vegas for high-rolling gamblers. His arrest record includes assault and robbery (three times) and vagrancy (twice). He served a 15- to 30-year prison term on an assault and robbery conviction. Ricciardi seems to have either fallen out of favor or got caught up in a Colombo Family power struggle. He was shot to death in 1974. Until next time..."The Other Guy!"
