Both local and federal law enforcement authorities viewed Genovese Soldier Frank Livorsi as one of New York’s most important mafiosi.
Over the years, he was never known to be invested in any legitimate business preferring instead to remain in the streets engaged in bootlegging, strong-arm extortion, interstate heroin trafficking, shylocking, and labor union racketeering among other illicit rackets.
He was also related through marriage to many top mafiosi from both the Lucchese family as well as the Detroit mob, including Tommy Dioguardi, Sam Meli, and John Ormento.
