Luigi Morici headed a crew in Baltimore, Maryland on behalf of the Gambino Family, first for acting boss/underboss Frank Scalisi, and later for consigliere Joseph N. Gallo. Frank Corbi eventually took over the crew after Morici relinquished his post but while Morici was in charge, he and his crew were active in many rackets including jukebox and vending machines, bookmaking, and narcotics trafficking, and controlled numerous businesses in Baltimore’s notorious red-light district called “The Block.”
