A biography on Gambino Family capo Luigi (Lou Mora) Morici who operated in Baltimore, Maryland for Frank Scalisi.
Luigi (Lou Mora) Morici – aka “Lou Maurice,” “John Maurice,” and “Louis Morice” – was born in Palermo Sicily on April 18, 1896. He was one of four sons born to Serafino and Mattea (nee’ Grasso) Morici. His three brothers remained in Italy for the rest of their lives.
Although Morici was said to have started his underworld career as a young mafioso back in Sicily, at some point in time, he made the decision to immigrate to the United States.
He stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed about 155 pounds. Morici had a benign look with blue eyes and brown hair that had turned mostly grey by the time he reached his mid-fifties.

Morici was said to have first come to New York City where he resided for a number of years in the Bronx. He later married an American woman named Lillian Blakely. The couple had one son.
