It’s been a minute, but Button Guys has decided to take another dive into Florida’s vibrant organized criminal underworld. In our latest installment, we profile another twenty-five mobsters with thumbnail sketches, talking a bit about their backgrounds and criminal activities in the Sunshine State.
This is the fifth installment in a continuing Button Guys’ series highlighting mobsters, racketeers and organized crime figures who lived and operated over the years in South Florida. In our four previous installments, we documented over 350 organized crime figures from across the United States who either vacationed there, were part-time residents, or moved to Florida permanently, most of whom brought their underworld rackets and criminal proclivities right along with them.
Our newest rogues gallery inductees includes mobster profiles about both the notorious and the not-so-notorious. They were a diverse bunch of hoods who came from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Michigan. We also list some of the many Cosa Nostra figures from Florida’s only homegrown borgata, the Santo Trafficante Family, headquartered in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area.
