This is a follow-up to a previous story titled, “The ‘Real’ Windup for Many Mafiosi,” which was an eye-opening account of how many top New York and New Jersey mob figures fared during their underworld careers; the betrayals, the murders, and the years spent behind bars.
This next installment lists organized crime figures who are still alive and are serving life behind bars with no parole or very lengthy prison terms with far-off release dates. We also listed the ages (where known) of these men and the release dates for two individuals who are technically not serving life terms, but, nonetheless, have many years ahead of them before they’re granted parole.
Of course, there are many other organized crime members from all across the country not listed here, who are also buried under lengthy prison sentences. But these are some of the better-known individuals currently incarcerated from the New York Metropolitan area.
