Nicky Botta chose to turn informant himself and ended up testifying in open court against both Brennan and his Colombo associates. This case was a huge scandal, headlining all the newspapers, and became an embarrassment to the New York justice system.

Nicholas Botta

Nicholas Botta was born in 1924 in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. By the late 1950s, he moved to 1412 L. Street in Elmont in Nassau County. His activities included horse and sports bookmaking and shylocking, and he also operated several “wire rooms” over the years in the Queens/Nassau area.
