It’s been widely acknowledged that the Cosa Nostra Family, headquartered in the City of Detroit, Michigan, has always been one of the more cohesive and successful criminal networks operating in the United States.
In fact, they were so simpatico amongst one another that many members of the Joseph Zerilli Family actually bought houses within walking distance of each other in the same neighborhood or within relatively close proximity.
Additionally, many borgata members also worked closely together in criminal rackets and in partnership in legitimate business ventures. This was helpful in ensuring that Detroit’s “brothers in blood” each became financially successful — truly putting the emphasis on the term “The Detroit Partnership.”
Subsequently, over the years, a disproportionately large percentage of Zerilli’s hierarchy and their core rank-and-file soldiers were considered to have become wealthy men during their underworld careers.
With this in mind, Button Guys thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at who was who and what types of homes and lifestyles the “who’s who” of the city’s Cosa Nostra elite chose for themselves, their wives, and families.
We listed 89 home addresses for Zerilli Family members, ranging from the top hierarchy to rank-and-file soldiers. The vast majority of the residences listed were located in Detroit’s Wayne and Macomb Counties. A few others maintained dual residences in Florida, Arizona, California, Canada, and elsewhere.
Button Guys hopes you enjoy our little tour through Detroit’s gangland.
