What follows below is a meticulously researched and designed hierarchy flow chart depicting the general “inducted” membership and the more significant associates of the Nicholas Civella Family, better known throughout Cosa Nostra and to law enforcement as the Kansas City “Outfit,” which was headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri.
It was a massive undertaking, to put it mildly.
As I researched the Outfit’s colorful history and modus operandi, it soon became apparent that Family boss Nick Civella led an extremely violent criminal network. In fact, without doubt, from its very inception, this particular Cosa Nostra Family has always been one of the most violent borgatas to ever grace the landscape of the United States.
Note: To compliment the Nicholas Civella Family chart, Button Guys is currently also working on an in-depth expose delineating the rich history of this lesser-known but very important Mafia organization.
This unique chart takes the reader through several generations of the Outfit’s rank-and-file membership, which, at any given time, was estimated to hover around 50 to 60 fully-inducted “made” members of the Family, as well as the many hundreds of their direct affiliated crew “associates.”
We also list many of those connected to this network such as corrupt politicians, labor union officials, businessmen, and others who were utilized through the decades to help facilitate the Kansas City Mob’s goals and criminal objectives.
Collectively, 404 individuals are on this chart. We name over 130 formally “made” mafiosi and another 274 allied criminals and crew associates, some of whom were also formally inducted into the ranks of Cosa Nostra as the years went on.
