In 1952, Knohl was the subject of a bribery investigation as a result of allegedly acting as a go-between in an income tax scandal involving T. Lamar Caudle, a former Assistant United States Attorney General.

Lawrence (Larry the Fixer) Knohl was born in 1906 in NYC. He lived at 75 E. Beech Street in Long Beach, Long Island since the early 1950s. Knohl was a notorious “confidence man” and swindler originally based in New York City.
